Installing the temporary Paddle Board Rack to your car or SUV

First, you need to have a car or SUV with 4-doors, or a 3 door with rear opening windows, for proper SUP Rack attachtment. (Convertibles, 2 door, 3 door with fixed rear windows won’t allow for a proper fit.)

  1. Open all four doors.
  2. Lay the racks with soft felt tabs facing onto the roof of your car.
  3. Feed the wide black strap through from each side of the car and thread through the buckle
  4. PULL TIGHT!
  5. Tuck the loose end into the plastic clip inside the car.
  6. Shut all car doors. You should now have two racks on the roof of your car.
  7. Now lay the board(s) on top of the racks. (The thinner webbing straps on the top of the rack are designed to hold your boards in place.)
  8. Simply throw them over the board, feed them through the buckle.
  9. Pull VERY TIGHT until board is fixed firmly to the roof of your car.
  10. Tie off any excess strap(s) by threading through the D-rings and running back over your board for a second time.

SAFETY NOTE!

Always re-check the tightness of the straps after traveling for a short distance, for proper safety.
